ATTACK OF THE 50 FT WOMAN! GET MOTIVATED! Believe in YOURSELF!

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

img_0491What’s up ya’ll?  This is Jackie O., the First Lady of Fitness, Fashion, and Fun.  I am a Pittsburgh based personal trainer and lifestyle coach.  In my former life, I was an unhappy attorney.  I am often asked how I found the strength to take the plunge and abandon the practice of law and pursue fitness, fashion, and fun full-time.  The answer is really simple.  I believed in myself! NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

Motivation starts with you! You must aspire to be happier and more successful in life.  You must then act on those aspirations, even when others tell you that you are of of your mind. Nothing can defeat you, except you! Sure, there will be obstacles in life and tough times, but when you believe in yourself you will persevere.  Positive people learn how to handle life’s challenges differently and use these opportunities to grow. You should constantly aim for self-improvement and use adversity to learn, develop, and ultimately move on.

Each and every one of us is remarkable in our own way, we just need to believe in ourselves so that the light inside of us can shine!  I start each day by looking in the mirror and saying some sort of positive affirmation.  This morning, I looked in mirror and said to myself,

“I AM THE 50 FOOT WOMAN – STRONG, POWERFUL, AND FEARLESS!”

We create who will are and to a large degree determine our own destinies. I want you to choose to be healthy, happy, and secure.  I want you to open yourself up to all the positive energy in the world.  Find joy and meaning in your life, by believing in yourself! I do!

Spice Up ANY Relationship

Monday, April 26th, 2010

img_1524What’s up ya’ll? This is Jackie O., the First Lady of Fitness, Fashion, and Fun. My “love “posting for today is all about spicing up ANY relationship.  Human beings are social creatures.  We are made to connect with others. Healthy relationship are all about connecting with others in a positive manner.  The tips I have listed below will spice up any relationship whether romantic or platonic.

(1) Send a card. . .just because.  Send your friend or partner a card via snail mail for no particular holiday, instead send one just because you want that person to know how special they are to you!

(2) When you introduce your friend or partner to others highlight a recent accomplishment (ex.  This is my friend, Steve.  He just finished ran a marathon a month ago! Can you believe it 26.2 miles! I’m so proud of him!)

(3) Be genuinely interested and thrilled when good things happen to your friend or partner.  If he/she gets a new job send them an edible bouquet, if he/she drops 5 pounds, buy him/her an i-tunes gift card to add new music to his/her workout playlist etc

(4) Notice stuff about him/her.  Notice something special or different about your friend or partner and let him/her know that you have noticed it.  It can be something very small – the important thing is that you notice!

(5) Work out together. There is no better way to show someone you care about them, than to show them that you care about their health and well-being, so get that person and yourself moving! Make plans to do something physical.  Take a stroll in the park, go hiking in the woods, take a spin class together. . .motivate your friend or partner to get fit.

Please feel free to post comments and tips on how to spice up any relationship.

Do You Want Unconditional Love? Search No Further!

Advice  from

the First Lady of Fitness, Fashion and Fun -

Jackie O.

Jackie O. is a Pittsburgh based personal trainer, fitness instructor, life coach, and motivational speaker.

What’s up ya’ll? This is Jackie O.  I have been thinking a lot about love lately.  Here are some of my thoughts!

Love. We are all searching for it – even if we don’t admit that we are.  We all crave it! As humans, we can’t really exist without it! We dream of finding an unconditional love.  Someone who will love us DESPITE ourselves, through thick and thin, sickness and health to the end of our days.  Yet, most of us don’t realize that we have that unconditional love within us.  We have the ability to love ourselves unconditionally – to treat our bodies and minds as temples, yet most of us don’t.  The question then becomes how can we expect anyone else to love us despite our flaws if we don’t love ourselves unconditionally and treat our bodies and minds with the respect they deserve.

For me, FITNESS, is part of this unconditional love exercise.  I workout my body and push it to its limits, because I love and respect my body unconditionally.  I want to see the temple that is my body be a shining example of all it was meant to be and in working and respecting my body, I also work and respect my mind, because the body and mind are linked.  It is through our bodies that we communicate with the work.  We are all unique.  we are gems put on this earth with a special purpose and it it through our body mind connection to the world that we achieve this purpose.  When you think of yourself as the only one of your kind in the universe, you begin to understand just how precious you are and just how deserving of unconditionally love you are, but that love comes from within.

Please share your thoughts on love with me.
