Fondly known as “Natti” by some and “Nat Nat” by many, blessed the world with her presence on January 27, 2001 to Kia Jacquelyn Omotalade. Natalia’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Nat Nat enjoyed life to the fullest, her travels with her dear mother included Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Singapore, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Japan, Disney World, Las Vegas and many, many more. Because of the large number of lives that she touched, celebration of her life will be held in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Indonesia and Pittsburgh, PA. Natalia Omotalade was a child of integrity, incredible intellect, kindness and humor. She was a rare kind of child who was able to speak about the cartoon Diego and in another breath could detail first hand of seeing the Pyramids and Sphynx of Egypt. Nat Nat could speak the following languages, Amharic (Ethiopia), Indonesian, Javanese, French and Spanish. She was an accomplished ice skater, having won first place in the Yogyakarta International Ice Skating Competition. She also won a first place ribbon in the great Ethiopian Run, (Children’s Division).
Her numerous activities included gymnastics, baking cupcakes, sempoa and tae Kwando, fishing, white water rafting, planting tomatoes, singing, reading, dancing and djembe drumming. At the age of 7, Natalia was looking forward to entering the third grade at Tolatr Highland Park Preparatory Academy, a private school in Pittsburgh, PA. She had attended schools in Ethiopia and Indonesia.
