“In the end, as First Lady, this isn’t just a policy issue for me. This is a passion. This is my mission. I am determined to work with folks across this country to change the way a generation of kids thinks about food and nutrition.” - First Lady Michelle Obama There are a million reasons why I love Michelle Obama and one of them is her commitment to fitness. Let’s Move! is a comprehensive initiative, launched by the First Lady, dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams. And Mrs O. is not relying on your traditional gym class to get the job done! She has recruited megastars like Beyonce to get kids up and moving! I love the fact that she teamed up with Beyonce to create this fun and relevant video to get the couch potato/video game generation MOVING! No First Lady before or after will Dougie like Michelle Obama! Check out Michelle Obama modeling a hip and modern workout!
As a parent, it is of the utmost importance that you make sure that your child has a healthy diet by ensuring that they are getting the proper amounts of the right kinds of vitamins and minerals. If this isn’t happening because of what they are eating, you either need to change what they are eating, or make sure that they are getting the vitamins in another way. Vitamin supplements can be purchased in kid-friendly shapes and flavors, so it shouldn’t be a problem to have your child take them.

Fat kids are not healthy, because obesity is life-threatening. According to the Mayo Clinic, childhood obesity is a serious medical condition that affects children and adolescents. It occurs when a child is well above the normal weight for his or her age and height. Childhood obesity is particularly troubling because the extra pounds often start kids on the path to health problems that were once confined to adults, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
